01Getting started

No account, API key, or billing setup — install, activate, and run your first search.

  1. Install & activateUpload the plugin under Plugins → Add New, or drop it in /wp-content/plugins/allinone-leads-finder, then activate.
  2. Open Leads FinderA new item appears in your WordPress admin sidebar — that's the plugin's single home, organized into tabs.
  3. Run a searchOn the Find Leads tab, enter a category/keyword like bakery and a specific city like Calgary, Canada, then click Search & Save Leads.
  4. Work the resultsMatches save automatically to Saved Leads, where you filter, tag, contact, and track them.
Search tip

Search a specific city rather than a whole province, state, or country. OpenStreetMap's business coverage is far more complete around cities, and a city-scoped search finishes in seconds instead of the 60–90s a country-wide query can take.

02Free vs Pro

The Free plan is a fully working leads tool on its own — Pro removes the caps and adds automation, team access, and outreach sending.

03Finding leads

Every result comes from OpenStreetMap: the location is geocoded via Nominatim, then Overpass is queried for matching businesses nearby — no scraping, no paid maps API.

A search takes a category/keyword (e.g. dentist, plumber, coffee shop) and a location, and a result limit — 25 or 50 on any plan, 100 PRO. Re-running an identical search doesn't create duplicates: any already-saved lead instead gets refreshed with newer contact info if OpenStreetMap's data has changed since you last saved it.

Saved search templates PRO

Save a keyword + location combination as a one-click chip on the Find Leads tab — useful for a category/city combo you check back on regularly.

Scheduled auto-search PRO

Any saved template can be set to run automatically — Off, Daily, or Weekly — via WordPress's own cron. Because WP-Cron only fires on real site traffic rather than running as a background daemon, a scheduled run on a low-traffic site may land a bit after its exact time rather than to the minute.

04Saved leads

Every saved lead is filterable by status, category, and website presence, and carries a quality tag computed from what OpenStreetMap actually had on file.

Queen Latina Bake Shoppe
Bakery
High-priority pitch
No website on file
YYC Cabinets
Carpenter
High
yyccabinets.ca+ phone on file

Real leads from a live search, shown as examples of how quality tagging reads at a glance.

A lead with no website is tagged High-priority pitch — a strong candidate if you build or sell websites. A lead with a website and a phone number is tagged High quality. Status moves through New → Contacted → Converted, either by hand or automatically the first time you send it an outreach email.

Each row also carries one-click call, WhatsApp, map, and email links wherever that contact detail exists on the lead.

05Notes, follow-ups & activity log PRO

Open any lead's details panel to work it like a lightweight CRM record.

  • Follow-up date — set a reminder date; leads due today or overdue count toward the "Follow-ups Due" stat.
  • Notes — free-text notes attached to the lead.
  • Activity log — an automatic, timestamped history: when the lead was added, every status change, notes/follow-up edits, enrichment updates, and outreach emails sent or failed — newest first.

06Filling in missing contact info PRO

For a lead that has a website but is missing a phone, email, or detected platform, the plugin checks that business's own homepage.

It looks for a published mailto:/tel: link and identifies the site's platform by its markup and asset footprint — recognized platforms include WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Weebly, BigCommerce, GoDaddy Website Builder, Joomla, and Drupal. Run it on one lead via "Check website for missing info," or on every incomplete lead at once via "Fill in Missing Contact Info." Nothing beyond that business's own public homepage is ever contacted.

07Outreach emails

Connect a sending method once under Email Settings, then reach any lead with an email on file.

Sending methods

Custom SMTPsmtp
SMTP2GOapi
Brevosmtp/api
Mailgunsmtp/api
SendGridsmtp/api
Postmarksmtp/api
WordPress Defaultwp_mail

Use Test Connection to verify credentials without sending anything. Once saved, Send Test Email PRO sends a real message to your own account's email using a sample lead, so you can check formatting before it ever reaches a real business.

The message template

Subject and message are one shared template, filled in per lead at send time:

{business_name}{category}{location}

Sending a lead an outreach email PRO — from its details panel — automatically moves that lead's status from New to Contacted the first time, and logs the send (or the failure reason, if it didn't go through) to that lead's activity log.

08Export & import

Export

CSV export respects your active Saved Leads filters — up to 50 matching rows on Free, unlimited on Pro. Excel (.xlsx) export PRO is available alongside CSV for the same filtered set.

Import PRO

Bring your own list in via CSV — only a Business Name column is required; Category, Address, City, Phone, Email, Website, and Status are all optional and matched by header name, so a re-imported export (even edited in Excel) works without reordering columns. Capped at 500 rows per import; a business already saved under the same name and address is skipped, never duplicated or overwritten.

09Analytics PRO

A read of your whole pipeline, not just the current filtered view.

  • Leads added per day, over the last 14, 30, or 90 days
  • Status breakdown across New / Contacted / Converted
  • Overall conversion rate

10White label PRO

Useful if you manage this plugin on a client's site under your own agency's name.

Set a custom display name and tagline under Email Settings → White Label — both replace the plugin's own name everywhere it appears in your WordPress admin: the sidebar menu, the page header, and (as a side effect of how WordPress titles admin pages) the browser tab title too. Leave either field blank to keep the default.

11Team access PRO

Let someone work leads without handing them the keys to your whole WordPress site.

Under Email Settings → Team Access, grant any existing WordPress role (Editor, Author, Shop Manager, or a custom role) permission to search, save, contact, and follow up on leads — including sending outreach emails — without giving that role full administrator rights.

What a granted role can't do: see or change Email Settings, sending credentials, White Label, or Team Access itself — those stay restricted to full site administrators, regardless of what's granted here. The administrator role always has access and is never shown in this list.

Under the hood

Access is granted through a real WordPress capability (manage_alf_leads) attached to the role you choose — not a separate login system — so it plays correctly with any other role-based tooling already on your site.

12External services

What this plugin talks to, and exactly when.

Nominatim
every search

OpenStreetMap's geocoding service — turns the location you type into map coordinates. See the Nominatim Usage Policy.

Overpass API
every search

OpenStreetMap's data query service — finds businesses matching your category near that location.

A lead's own website
enrichment only, Pro

Fetches only that business's public homepage, looking for a listed phone or email. No account or key involved.

Your email provider
only if configured

Custom SMTP, SMTP2GO, Brevo, Mailgun, SendGrid, or Postmark — contacted only with credentials you enter yourself, and only when you click Test Connection, Send Test Email, or Send Outreach Email.

No search or lead data is sent to the plugin author or anyone else beyond the services above.

13Frequently asked questions

Do I need an API key to use this?

No. The core search feature uses OpenStreetMap's free, public Nominatim and Overpass services — no account, API key, or billing setup required.

Where does the business data come from, and how complete is it?

From OpenStreetMap, a free, community-maintained map database. Completeness — especially phone and email — varies by region: generally strong in and around cities, sparser in rural areas.

Does this plugin scrape Google Maps or Bing Maps?

No. It only uses OpenStreetMap's own public Nominatim and Overpass services, which are explicitly intended for this kind of use under their usage policy.

What happens to my saved leads if I uninstall the plugin?

By default, leads and settings are left in place if you deactivate or delete the plugin, so reinstalling restores everything. Full data removal on uninstall is available as an explicit opt-in setting.
